Recently, we were honored to participate in a powerful Moment of Reflection at Pegasus Landing of Tanglewood, a senior living community serving older adults in the Houston area. A Meaningful Message from Giselle Shapiro
We extend special recognition to Giselle Shapiro, a Hospice Liaison at IPR Healthcare, who served as the guest speaker for this meaningful gathering. Giselle brings over ten years of healthcare experience, including hospice care in homes, facilities, and hospitals, as well as home health, sleep medicine, healthcare technology, and medical assistant training. Her work centers on educating patients, families, caregivers, and the senior community about the comfort, peace, and dignity hospice care provides. Her passion for hospice is deeply personal, shaped by her experience as the primary caregiver for her mother, who received hospice services for two meaningful years. Giselle also brings joy into senior living communities through educational outreach and singalongs, using connection and compassion to support families during this important time of life.

One of the most moving moments of the gathering came when two residents felt inspired to share their own reflections. Their willingness to speak openly transformed the event from a presentation into a shared experience.
