Dr. Atul Sachdev serves as the Home Health Medical Director for IPR Healthcare Inc., bringing a wealth of expertise and a deeply patient-centered approach to his role. As a Board Certified Family Medicine physician, he emphasizes building strong relationships with patients, ensuring that their care is tailored to their unique needs. Dr. Sachdev attended Johns Hopkins University for his undergraduate studies and completed his medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He then pursued his residency training at the University of Texas at Houston, where he served as Chief Resident.
After 11 years as a private family physician, Dr. Sachdev established New Horizon Healthcare in Baytown, TX, where he adopted a personalized health care model through MDVIP. This approach allows him to focus on preventive care, offering patients comprehensive health screenings and diagnostic tests beyond the typical scope of primary care. Dr. Sachdev’s practice emphasizes the prevention of heart attacks, strokes, and diabetes, guided by the principles of the Bale-Doneen Method, of which he is a graduate.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sachdev serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He is known for his philosophy of partnering with patients, listening to their concerns, and providing the education they need to make informed decisions about their health. He takes pride in offering more time and attention to each patient, with the ability to provide same-day or next-day appointments and being available around the clock.
